Celebrating Singapore's Golden Jubilee with an SG50, Medicom Toy and Action City
organised a competition to showcase their creation of "local flavours" of Bearbrick.
Selected participants and winners were showcased at 313 somerset.
I was lucky that my design was selected as in 1st runner up.
My concept of this design breaks the boundaries of the toy's layout by implementing two halves
from two different faces onto any given side. Each side will showcase two people of differing races closely standing side by side, signifying the tight-knit cohesion that Singapore
is so well-known for in Asia and the world.
The overall design of the toy will showcase all four nationalities, distinctly colourful yet seamlessly coming together to create a natural yet outstanding visual element.The breaking of boundaries also speak of how the different race “break through” racial stereotypes, social stigmas and other preconceived notions to embrace each otherin the true spirit of a united Singapore.
